Dear members,

I am proud to have been nominated as the new DCC chairman at the AGM last week. I have been fortunate to have received support, advice and encouragement from many of you since I joined the club 5 years ago and hope to be able to give a little in return and represent you and the club as chairman.

A big thank you to retiring chairman Steve McGivern, he will be a hard act to follow. Thanks also to Alastair Ross and John Andrew who are also standing down from committee duty, John after 6 years as club treasurer. We are now looking for a new club treasurer to take over from John as soon as possible. According to John you don't really need to be good at counting!

Dave Niblock also joins the committee again as secretary and Helen Acklam also has come forward this year. I would also like to see a committee member that regularly rides with the social group join us to ensure all of the Saturday run groups are represented.

Cameron continues as race secretary and Garry as webmaster and club run guru.

Sadly working today and unable to join you on the road in the autumn sunshine, I hope to see you all soon out on the bike.
