Dear Members
The Committee met last night and discussed some of our forthcoming events. The Wild Hills race preparation is well under way, thanks to Dave Moss. We are still in need of some helpers for the event, namely a couple of drivers and several marshalls. I will be asking for support at this Saturday's club run so if you can help please step forward! If you are unable to attend the club run then by all means contact Dave or myself. I would like to take some photographs and film of the event so anybody who would be interested in helping with that would be most welcome. Members are reminded that there will be no club run on the 16th of April because of the Wild Hills so do get involved.
Our TT season starts tonight. If you are new to the Club or cycling these are great opportunities to test yourself against the clock. All you need to get started is your road bike. Distances range from 10-25 miles. You'll find the regulars will be very encouraging and helpful. There is a handicap system and you can follow your improvements in the league over the summer. Be aware it is addictive!
Our recent bun run to Moffat was well received by members and it was agreed that we will organise more of these occasions, compliments of the Committee.
We discussed Monday night training and agreed that we are going to provide a series of various structured events for Members. This will be posted soon. The hope is that they will enhance the fitness and skills established on Saturday club runs and TTs.
Brian brought along new kit designs from two designers. They include proposals for continuing with existing colours and some completely new ideas. There are actually a lot of ideas and we hope to whittle these down to 3-4 designs for members to vote on in the coming months.
