Dear Members
The Committee met last night and discussed the forthcoming Sportive. Brian has been working with the Sportive group and arrangements are well in hand. We would like to see as many members as possible participate in what is an excellent route. The refreshments at the end are a great reward for a challenging ride! Parking arrangements this year will be slightly different and there will be a lot more signage. We still need one or two volunteers either for a morning or afternoon session. Please help if you can.
We also discussed the collection of trophies that the club has obtained over the years for our members. We intend to have a proper review and inventory of trophies in the coming months as they reflect the long history of our club.
The Wild Hills proved to be successful and thanks once again to Dave Moss for his sterling efforts in organising this race. We felt that Dave should be given more assistance in the running of the event and in the collection of results. We look forward to next year perhaps with a return to the old APR format.
It is our intention to purchase a club gopro camera. It will be used for TTs, Races, Monday Nights and for Club Runs. The intention is for members to carry it on their handlebars then we can upload the footage onto the web.
We hope to invite all members to a Monday Night Activity which is slightly different to the customary Speed Night. It will involve laps of Bankend with designated pace and efforts. It will conclude with a social gathering hopefully at the Nith Hotel provided courtesy of the Club. Details this week.
We have drawn up a shortlist of new kit designs. Members will have the chance to view 4 different designs in the month of May. You will then be asked to vote for one via survey monkey on June 1st -5th. The winning design will then go forward.
The forecast for the week ahead and into next week looks excellent so it's time for shorts and shaved legs. Enjoy!
